Our portfolio includes a wide range of building projects in varying sectors including commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential, in both private and public sectors, privately funded to governmentally run.
AT GREEN PROPELLER, WE BELIEVE THAT SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AND GOOD DESIGN GO HAND IN HAND.
With all the knowledge we have today about climate, and our environment, we find ourselves asking the question: Why are so many buildings being unsustainably built?
The sun rises in the east, and sets in the west, and the heat from the sun is most intense in the afternoon and early evening. These are things we know. So why are there so many buildings with the same amount of windows on all four faces causing you to pull down the shades to stop the glare? It does not cost more to consider how much glazing should be put on all sides of a building; but it costs more in heating and cooling if you don’t consider it.
Good design will reduce your energy costs.
We believe that every project should be designed to respond to its site and climate. Natural ventilation and lighting, and highly insulated walls are the foundation of shelter, protection from elements, and thereby human comfort.
Every project can be designed to minimize energy demand.
Every project can be built to make use of passive energy (solar, wind, geothermal).
At Green Propeller Design, we have adopted the goal of “Architecture 2030”; which is to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, by dramatically reducing energy use – attempting to achieve “carbon neutral” standards by the year 2030.×
